Fly To is one of my earliest moving-image works. It was made quickly, almost instinctively, without much planning or analysis.
Years later, through psychoanalysis and through the projects that followed, I began to recognize recurring questions and motifs that were already present within it. Looking back, it feels as if the unconscious had found a way to articulate something long before I was able to understand or name it myself. What seemed like a simple experiment at the time now appears as an early trace of concerns that would continue to surface throughout my work.
